Finally A Workout! ... the 50/10 Kettlebell Workout!

Hey guys! I'm so sorry for not blogging for weeks, i've been really busy with school lately but i'm free now because year end holidays are almost here (excited!!!)

Oh my, i haven't put up any workouts since i've started this blog.... so today i'm gonna put up my first workout --- the 50/10 Kettlebell Interval Workout! Well ya see, kettlebells are really versatile and easy to handle, plus it's one of my favorite equipment! I've tried this workout yesterday and i can say it really fun & challenging though! (well maybe?) All you need is your body, a kettlebell, an interval timer and maybe a workout mat (i didn't used one though so it's not necessary)

Alright guys, here's the workout: (remember to warm up before starting this workout!!)

Set your timer to 50 seconds work/10 seconds rest and repeat for 18 times, start the timer and work your butt off!

Oh before that, i have another announcement!
I've made another mashup yesterday, it's a mashup of Britney Spears' Work B**ch and Avicii's Levels so watch out Brit Army and Avicii fans! It's gonna be up on Youtube around 3-10th November, i'll put up the link here when it's out! (Artwork to the right! ;))

Hidden sugars in cereals!

Hey guys, so i went to the grocery store today and got lots of stuffs for my fridge, while i'm at the cereals section, i've noticed there's a lot of "no sugar", "healthy" or "fitness" cereals -- If you're one of the peoples who get cereals like that, you need to STOP! Heres a few pictures of the ingredients list of a few cereals:

First up, we got the "Special K 100cal Dessert Bars" Well, the company says that Special K is specially a "fitness food". Well i don't think so. Let's see how many types of sugar are in this item. There's sugar, barley malt extract (yeah, it's a type of sweetener), then we have sugar again in the "yoghurt compound", then glucose, and then sugar again in "wheat flakes", and fructose, dextroseglucose solids and sugar again(!) -- DID YOU SEE HOW MANY TIMES "SUGAR" IS MENTIONED? - four times! And they still call this a fitness snack? I DON'T THINK SO!

Second, we have "Special K Original Cereal". They have gluten, malt extract, and 8.3g of sugar per serving!

Next, we have Nestle's "Fitnesse - Clusters: Almond" Yeah, they almonds in it -- and lots of sugar too. They have sugar, glucose syrup, honey, barley malt extract, sugar (again), barley malt extract (again), glucose syrup (again?!)! DO YOU SEE IT?

Here, we have Dorset's "cranberry, cheer and almond" cereal. The box is kinda fancy though - which tricked customers that it's "healthy". They have barley malt extract (x3), sugar (x2), and sweetened dried cranberries.

Lastly, we have Kellogg's "Smart Start" cereals. It stated "Strong Heart" though -- let's see whether is it true or not. They have sugar, brown sugar syrup, honey, corn syrup, polydextrose, and molasses. And they call that "strong heart"? More like "way to obesity! - which eventually leads to "weak heart"!

Alright guys, the lesson is -- choose your cereals PROPERLY and WISELY! I'd personally recommend regular PLAIN oats though. Remember to avoid foods with "-ose" at the end of any ingredient, because that's sugar! Don't fall for those with "fat free", "sugar free" labels on them, check the ingredients list first! But most importantly, try choose foods with only ONE ingredient.

Here's a list of different names of hidden sugar:

Log #01 - Good month ahead!

Hey guys, how are y'all doin'? Alright, i'll be starting a new segment where i'll do (daily) logs (something like a diary, yknow?). Alright, as the title of this post suggest -- "Good month ahead!" - i was tryna say that there'll be LOTS and LOTS of good stuffs happening this month!

First up, this is (probably) one of the most important thing in my life -- I'VE COMPLETED MY VERY FIRST INTERVAL SPRINTS ((20sec out/15sec low) x 10) IT WAS SUPERB! But, took me a while to start thanks to my (failed) pre workout meal - contained too much of proteins hahaha - which cause me to wait for like an hour at the park - started with a warm up (dynamic), then i just go all out! When i was sprinting, there's quite a lot of people who puts their eye on me - some even gave me some support, which REALLY motivates me! Well, in the end of the workout -- like what people usually feel after an intense sprinting workout - i felt REALLY REALLY exhausted, tired and stuffs. But it was worth the hard work, it eventually made me feel better (like ALOT BETTER hahaha) I'm gonna start doing HIIT sprints from now on -- well, it's gonna be a good workout!

Alright guys, i gotta go now (it's almost 10.30 and i really need some sleep!) Goodnight fitfam!

The Other Side

Hey guys, it's Friday! (Holla weekends and bye exams!) So, as the title of this post suggest -- i'll be talking about "the other side" of me. Now look, i may be into fitness, dancing, singing and eating (hahaha) -- but, i'm also into.. filming and film making - surprising (or weird), i know.

I don't know when exactly i became so into this, i think it started when i was around 10, when i got so into movies, the effects, the sound effects and all. I'd always go to the "special features" section of a DVD, then to the "making of" part -- and even the making of music videos though.

I'm currently studying 3D effects, CGI and all -- looking forward to film a (at least) short film in the near future. And yeah, film making works well for the future too if music and fitness din't work out (haha i'm just joking -- or am i? ;)

It's really surprising where movies like Titanic -- are filmed in a pool (well for some scenes), Avatar, Real Steel, Resident Evil (my all time favorite zombie movie!), and Life of Pi -- they all used heavy visual effects, mocaps (motion captures) and CGIs -- the results are pretty amazing!

I adore A LOT of movie makers, editors, directors and producer such as Steven Spielberg,
Shawn Levy, Paul WS Anderson, Oren Peli (hola to Paranormal Activity!), Niven Howie, Takashi Shimizu (the Grudge franchise was one of my favorite horror movies though!) Dean Zimmerman and the list just goes on and on and it'll never end!
